The Michelin Guide's review
Shark Valley is the main gateway to the north of the Everglades. This natural harbour bears the name of the backwater that slowly ebbs into the River Shark in the southwest, the brackish waters of which are infested with sharks. Take a tram or hire a bicycle to cross the marshes, getting a closer look at swamp kites, egrets, herons, alligators and other Everglade wildlife on the way. An observation tower enables you to take full stock of this vast landscape.
