The Michelin Guide's review
The Casa de los Azulejos, the famous home of the Condes del Valle de Orizaba, united two older houses in the 17C and was decorated in the 18C with blue tiles that rival the palaces in Puebla. Sold to the Yturbe family in 1877, it became the aristocratic Jockey Club. In 1919 Sanborn's drugstore set up shop permanently in its delightful patio with slender columns. The fountain and staircase - with a mural painted in 1925 by José Clemente Orozco - highlight the décor appropriately situated somewhere between China and Andalusia.
