The Michelin Guide's review
Opened to the public in 1976, this first-rate art gallery occupies the Dixon residence, a Georgian-style house (1941) surrounded by English gardens. The exhibition of cosmopolitan art is displayed in two different sections. The first focuses on the house, where art works are elegantly arranged in the different rooms, while the second, a large contemporary wing, is more like an art gallery in feel. Works by Braque, Utrillo, Bonnard, Cézanne, Chagall, Degas, Gauguin, Corot, Monet and Renoir can be admired here.
