The Michelin Guide's review
This majestic neo-Romanesque building, designed by Charles Émile Carré and built between 1875 and 1930, is said to be the largest brick church in the world, with claims that a million bricks were used. Features to look out for are the dazzling stained-glass windows from the 1920s, an altar baldachin, the pulpit, the marble fonts and the organ, as well as El Cristo del Perdón, a very fine work by the Antioquia-born painter, Francisco Antonio Cano Cardona (1865-1935).
