Joaquin Antonio Uribe Botanical Garden

The Michelin Guide's review
The place looks more like a huge public park than a botanical garden. Its paths wind through the undergrowth up to a palm copse and a glasshouse of butterflies, via desert plants and the large lake. A walk around this garden provides a good introduction to the landscapes and ecosystems of Colombia. The spectacular Orquideorama José Jerónimo Triana has a honeycomb structure covered with openwork pine slats, which filter the light.
