The Michelin Guide's review
A French Huguenot family named Horry established this rice plantation in the mid-18C. Today the 337-acre estate is home to an elegant white Georgian-style mansion that began life as a six-room farmhouse in 1750. The unfurnished house has been left unrestored in places, in order to show the original construction techniques, such as the use of mortice and tenon joints in the framework.
