The centre hosts an interesting exhibition charting the development of the park and the human activity that has affected this highly unusual environment. From the upper floor, visitors can enjoy attractive views of the surrounding area. A 2.1km walking trail leads from the centre and crosses a flood zone, a lush forest then peatland planted with luxuriant ferns.
