The Michelin Guide's review
Begun in 1280 by the Viscounts of Turenne, this former fortress was converted into a magnificent Gothic palace in the 14C. Dominated by a belfry, the fine façade overlooking Rue Senlis is a remarkable architectural feat with its series of ogival arcades crowned by quatrefoil windows. The bas-relief over the main door depicts the town's coat of arms. The building is now home to the Musée d'Uxellodunum, a museum dedicated to prehistoric and Gallo-Roman archaeology.
