The Michelin Guide's review
Palais Bahia (Palace of the Beautiful) with its rich decoration of stucco, paitings and zellige tiles was commissioned in the late 19C by Ba Ahmed, vizier of sultans Moulay Hassan and Moulay Abdelaziz. Like the majority of Arab palaces, extended bit by bit with no overall plan, the layout of the courtyards, inner gardens and apartments feels somewhat disorganised. Find your way around a maze of corridors, staircases and countless rooms! A visit to be rounded off with a break in the pleasant large riad.
