Notre-Dame Church of Marmande
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
Notre-Dame Church was built between the 13C and 16C. On the left as you enter, look out for an Entombment, sculpted in the 17C. The restoration of the chancel and, in the first chapel to the right of the former, the altarpiece depicting Saint Benoît in prayer persecuted by the devil, date from the same period. The southern side of the church features Renaissance cloisters flanked by lovely formal gardens, a listed "Jardin remarquable". A gallery of holy art showcases liturgical objects.
