In the heart of the Cirque de Mafate, a path starting at Marla takes you to the plateau and down into the scoria towards the Rivière des Galets, which you will ford. It then follows the river and leads to the Trois Roches, an impressive chasm which the water cascades down into. The name of the site refers to the three large rocks that look as if they are balancing on the bank.
