The Michelin Guide's review
Krížový pramen, which means Spring of the Cross in Czech, is the oldest of the 40 springs which rise in Mariánské Lazne. Its waters, particularly rich in minerals, possess powerful purgative virtues. The spring rises in a Neo-Classical temple (1818) whose dome is crowned by a double cross, in homage to the role of the abbey of Teplá in the resort's creation.
