The pilgrimage church of Maria Saal cuts a fine figure with its twin tuff towers and flagstone roofing. On the outside, remarkable Roman low reliefs and the splendid Keutschach tombstone are incorporated into the church walls. The late-Gothic interior houses valuable works that include the sumptuous Arndorf altarpiece and tomb of St Modestus. Nearby, you will see the ossuary and Romanesque baptistery.
