The Michelin Guide's review
Salagon has become one of the must-see sites of Haute Provence. A farm in Gallo-Roman times, it housed a Benedictine priory in the 12C, of which there remains the restored Romanesque church, endowed with two naves and contemporary stained-glass windows designed by Aurélie Nemours. Today, this chapel and the adjacent 16C-19C outbuildings serve as an exhibition space. The site is remarkable for its seven themed gardens, which bring together more than 2 500 harmoniously ordered plant species.
