The Michelin Guide's review
Of the monastery, founded in 1415, all that remains is its church (1530) with a trefoil floor plan and an open veranda (exonarthex) with three sturdy pillars and four ogival arcades. It is decorated with extraordinary wall paintings by Toma de la Suceava, in which a distinctive brick-red hue predominates and which are striking in their attention to detail, notably in the depiction of the costumes and the use of warm colours.
