Beit Khalaf is a pearl merchant's house dating from the turn of the 20th century. It has been carefully restored to pay tribute to the lifestyle of its occupants. On the ground floor, note the carved decoration on the floors. On the first floor, several rooms evoke the activities of the former occupants, including the weighing and sorting equipment used in the pearl trade. You can climb out onto the terrace to see the rooftops of the district and the skyline of the new town in the distance.
