The Michelin Guide's review
This impressive waterfall on squeezes between namesake stone "towers" and plunges 132ft to join the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone at its narrowest point. A steep trail (.5mi) descends 300ft to the base of the fall. The dramatic gorge is best viewed from a turnout at Calcite Springs, from which basaltic columns-similar to those overhanging this very road-may be seen rimming the 500ft bluffs beneath which the river flows.
