Four of the 90 Penghu Islands are connected by bridges, forming a horseshoe in the Taiwan Strait. On the main island of Penghu there is a wealth of sites both natural and historical, including the almighty Tongliang Banyan. Fine sandy beaches run down to clear waters. Best visited during the sunny season.
