The Michelin Guide's review
Visible from afar on account of its 28m-high zinc tower, this museum of red brick and cut stone was designed by the architect Aldo Rossi (1931-97). The early art section exhibits work from Flemish studios and artists, as well as Italian paintings on wood dating from the 14C-16C. Also of interest is the magnificent Neutelings Collection, dedicated to art from the Middle Ages. Contemporary art is displayed on the second floor.
