The Michelin Guide's review
On the site where the town originally stood, Gammplatsen became an open-air museum in 1945. You can visit the pretty chapel and its bell tower next to the riverbank. The Hunting Museum (Jaktmuseet) houses a fine collection of sculptures on wood by Sami artists. The Forestry Museum (Skogsmuseet) illustrates the taxing physical effort required by lumberjacks in cutting down trees and sawing them into logs. Ruselegården is a picturesque little café.
