The Michelin Guide's review
Built in 1998 by architect Jean Nouvel, this building complements the station built in 1991 by Santiago Calatrava. With its glass architecture creating transparency and reflection effects, the building's 12 000m2 roof is oriented towards the lake and blends well with the mountain scenery. From inside there are some impressive views. The centre houses the museum of fine art, a multi-purpose hall and a concert hall which hosts the Lucerne festival.
