The Michelin Guide's review
Founded in 735, destroyed by fire in 1633, this church was rebuilt in the Renaissance style. It is surrounded by an Italian cloister. A monumental staircase leads to the vast Late Renaissance interior. The chancel, closed off by wrought iron railings, is decorated with pretty stalls. Gilded altar pieces adorn the ten altars on the lower sides. The organ (1650) is one of the best in Switzerland.
