  The Michelin Guide's review
The pagoda was founded during the reign of Visoun (1500-1520) to house the Pra Bang, the palladium of the city. Its walls are pierced with attractive windows with wood balustrades. The doors are ornamented with gilded Hindu reliefs: the god Brahma is framed by Vishnu on a Garuda bird (to the right) and Shiva standing on the bull Nandi (to the left). Around the altar, home to the largest seated Buddha in Luang Prabang, the interior boasts over a hundred wooden statues from the 16C-18C.
