The Michelin Guide's review
Rameses III, who greatly admired his ancestor Rameses II, was the warrior king of the XX Dynasty. His temple at Medinet Habu is entirely given over to recording his achievements. His most famous victory was over the Sea Peoples, who came from the east, and is shown in the seven paintings on the walls of the first hypostyle hall. The pylons of the hypostyle halls, as well as the porticos and pillars, are engraved with scenes depicting battles and prisoners being sacrificed.
