The Michelin Guide's review
Located at Deir el-Bahri, this impressive temple hewn out of the rock is the work of Senenmut, Queen Hatshepsut's architect. It is made up of three terraces at the foot of the Theban Mountain, joined together by ramps. The wall decorations on the first terrace, depicting some fine scenes (hunting in the marshes), are more fragmented than those on the second terrace, which include murals of the expedition to Punt and the royal theogamy.
