Opening in 2021, this museum of the 7th art, the first of its kind in the world capital of cinema, was initiated by the Academy of the Oscars. The building, a huge glass and concrete vessel that looks like the Black Star from Star Wars, was designed by Renzo Piano, based on a 1930s department stores'. Immersive for the general public, the museography is also designed to be educational (but not chronological), going through all the different stages of a film.
