Generally referred to by the acronym LACMA, this is one of the largest art museums in the United States with a collection of nearly 100 000 works of art. A dynamic venue involved in numerous cultural projects, the museum is housed in buildings dotted around gardens adorned with sculptures. Exhibits have been collected from across the globe and it's easy get lost among the different movements and periods represented in what is more of an art complex than a simple museum.
