The Michelin Guide's review
The Law Courts is a large building, in Gothic perpendicular style, built between 1874 and 1882 on the site of a populous district. When the courts are in session, the public has access to the courtrooms, where red-robed judges in ermine collars and long wigs sit facing lawyers in gowns and short wigs. There is a small exhibition of the costumes worn by members of the legal profession.
