The Michelin Guide's review
This shelter, designed to protect Churchill, his war cabinet and general staff, was the Prime Minister's headquarters during the Second World War. The thirty-odd rooms open to the public have retained their complement of bureaucratic fixtures and fittings. Organised around a giant interactive biography, the Churchill Museum allows visitors to learn not only about the man as a great statesman, but also as a private individual with his own habits, obsessions and passions.
