The Michelin Guide's review
This late gothic-style disused church (1520-1532), houses interesting funerary monuments from the 16 and 17C including the monument of the premier historian of London, John Stow (1525-1605). A plaque records that Holbein; a plague victim in 1543 may be buried there. The furniture is interesting, as are the baptismal fonts (1631) by Stone. The 17C organs and the communion table were forged by the Frenchman Tijou (1704).
