The Michelin Guide's review
Located in an almshouse (1712-1719) built by the Ironmongers' Company, the museum seeks to illustrate the daily life of the British middle classes from 17C to 20C by reconstructing interiors, allowing the visitor to follow changes in styles over the whole period. In the park, don't miss the large walled aromatic herb garden and various gardens layouts from the past.
