The Michelin Guide's review
The road that runs alongside the shore of Lovatn Lake, as you go up Lodal Valley, certainly makes an impression: extremely narrow in places, it is overshadowed by jagged, rocky peaks. Three landslides have occurred since the start of the 21C near the hamlet of Bødal. Each partial collapse of Ramnefjell (meaning "Crow Mountain") generates a huge wave, one of which lifted up a steamboat that was crossing the water and swept it 400m away to the side of the mountain!
