The Michelin Guide's review
Built between the 7C and 6C BC, Lindos Acropolis served as a place of worship as of the Mycenaean age. It was enlarged in the Hellenistic era then transformed into a fortress by the Knights of St John until the Ottoman period. At the end of a climb via a steep path, incorporating steps at some sections, you come to ruins from different eras and, occupying the highest terrace, the sanctuary of Athena Lindia, the most sacred part of the acropolis. From there, the view is spectacular!
