The Michelin Guide's review
The cathedral stands on a picturesque site. Due to its remarkable architecture, it is the most classic example of the Transitional Gothic style prevalent in Germany between 1210 and 1250. The exterior arrangement remains Romanesque. The interior is Gothic, with a structure directly inspired by the cathedral of Laon in Picardy, France, with superimposed galleries, a triforium and high windows. There is a fine view from the cemetery terrace.
