The Michelin Guide's review
Here the River Roe runs through nearly 5km of woodland and meadows, accessible along a series of lovely footpaths. In the 19C the Roe was lined with industrial mills, which were used primarily for threshing flax. Green Lane Museum, housed in a converted industrial mill, presents exhibits from the pre-Industrial era. Nearby, the Dogleap Countryside Centre houses an exhibition devoted to the valley's natural environment and its history.
