The Michelin Guide's review
The Church of St Andrew combines a late-Gothic nave with an 18C chancel. It boasts one of the oldest organs in Austria and fine wall paintings were uncovered during its renovation in 1968. There are magnificent 16C tombstones under the gallery. The once fortified churchyard has a First World War memorial chapel, in which Albin Egger-Lienz painted a forceful representation of the horrors of war.
