From the terrace at the entrance to the cave (discovered by J Maury in 1924), there is a fine view of the Vézère Valley. After 40m of narrow tunnels, there is an extraordinary profusion of stalactites and stalagmites of coral-like beauty (note the "Victory of Samothrace") and a wide variety of other geological curiosities, plus crystalline formations (triangles, loops and spirals).
