The Michelin Guide's review
The must-see buildings in Les Baux include: the former town hall and its museum of "santons" (Christmas crib figures), and the Porcelet mansion which houses the Museum dedicated to Yves Brayer, who painted the pastoral scenes in the Pénitents-Blancs Chapel (17C). Stand on place St-Vincent to enjoy the view of the Fountain Vale and Val d'Enfer and admire the church, partly hollowed into the rock. Further on, you will see the former protestant church, the Manville mansion, the communal ovens and the foundation of publisher Louis-Jou (1881-1968), housed in a Renaissance building.
