The Michelin Guide's review
Built between the mid-13C and late-14C, León Cathedral is the only one in Spain to have adopted the French taste for high, slender, luminous naves. The outstanding stained-glass windows illuminating the nave, and covering an area of 1,700m2, have compromised the strength of the building. The Renaissance trascoro was designed by Juan de Badajoz. To the left of the high altar, a remarkable Flemish-influenced Entombment is attributed to the Master of Palanquinos.
