Mass Audubon's Pleasant Valley Wildlife Sanctuary
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
The sanctuary, which can be explored by canoe, on skis or snowshoes, boasts 7mi of trails that cut through forest and meadows, and up and down the slopes of Lenox Mountain. A beaver colony lives in the string of ponds in the valley, which is also the site of flora that is characteristic of the Berkshires.
