  The Michelin Guide's review
Created in 1986, the province of Flevoland is in fact a group of several polders created from the most recent stage of the draining of the Zuiderzee. Its unique characteristic is that the entire province lies below sea level. The Batavialand museum in Lelystad includes a permanent exhibition on the Zuiderzee project.
