In the old cloth hall, this Museum of Decorative Arts (pewter, glassware, gold and silverware, earthenware tiles) also boasts a fine painting section. The work of Lucas van Leyden is well represented in the section dedicated to the 16C-20C. The first floor focuses on the cloth industry and the history of Leiden. The contemporary art collection features works by Theo van Doesburg, who lived in Leiden from 1916 to 1921.
