In the 16C-17C, several architects worked on the construction of this basilica which is representative of the Baroque style in Lecce. The façade with its sumptuous upper section precedes a long, narrow yet bright interior which boasts a Baroque decor which is as abundant as it is delicate. In the chapel at the end of the north aisle, admire the delightful high altar adorned with low-reliefs carved by Francesco Antonio Zimbalo.
