St Laurent Church

The Michelin Guide's review
This example of Gothic art in Velay was part of a Dominican convent. Of particular interest are the remarkable Flamboyant-style doorway, the deceptively vast nave, the 14C chapel, the paving designed by Daniel Dezeuze (from the Supports/Surfaces group, 1988), and the tomb of Bertrand Du Guesclin, who was killed at Châteauneuf-de-Randon (1380), which contains his entrails.
