The Michelin Guide's review
The red porphyry lighthouse was destroyed in 1944 and rebuilt in 1949. From the paved terrace at its foot there is a magnificent view of the jagged coast, the chasm and the lovely pink rocks and pebbles. It is the wildest part of the island. The site is steeped in legend, including that of King Arthur and Morgan le Fay: she is said to have thrown stones that formed a rock enabling her lover to join her.
