The Michelin Guide's review
This imposing castle is an impressive sight with its eight pointed towers and machicolations. It was rebuilt in 1458 and is a fine example of military architecture. After crossing the stone bridge you enter the barbican, designed to protect the drawbridge. Moving into the central building, you will see the display of weapons and 16 and 17C furniture. The tour then leads you to the banks of the lake, via the casemates (shelters). The grounds and medieval garden give a pleasant view over the site as a whole.
