In 2005, businessman Steve Wynn opened the luxury Wynn hotel complex, which is arranged around a man-made lake where waterfalls and lush vegetation add an exotic note. In the evening, a superb aquatic show, Le Rêve, is held in the hotel's astonishing circular hall. In 2009, an almost identical tower block was built next door - Encore houses a hotel, shops and several restaurants, each more elegant than the next.
