The Michelin Guide's review
Orange County's longest expanse of undeveloped coastline is preserved in this state park, which encompasses 2,791 acres of former Irvine Ranch holdings. Four hundred acres of coastal dunes, bluffs and hidden coves, disrupted by ranch and resort activities that occurred here from the late 19C to the early 20C, are currently being restored and replanted with California buckwheat, sage, lemonade berry and other native plants.
