Set around a peaceful bayou, this reconstruction of an Acadian village offers a glimpse of life in Acadiana around the mid-19C. Most of the buildings were moved here from other locations in the region, although some were constructed on-site with period materials. Helpful information panels provide insights into architectural practices of the time, while displays in each building focus on Acadian culture and traditions.
