The Michelin Guide's review
A Unesco World Heritage Site, Ujung Kulon national park, covering more than 76,000 ha of land and 44,000 ha of sea, is home to an exceptionally rich variety of fauna and flora. The last preserve of the famous Javan rhinoceros, in danger of extinction, and of the impressive indigenous Bateng, thought to have been around since prehistoric times, the park is also the site of some superb beaches and submarine life. Make sure you take your binoculars, and don't set off without a guide (agencies in Labuan).
